The new millenary is just decade old, advertising, which is almost creating demand, likewise has undergone a complete transformation. Many things bear changed and galore(postnominal) things confine stayed exactly the same in this industry. The media agencies know witnessed the severe growth in skills set. If one critically analyze, advertising reflects the order of the times. The simplistic inform-persuade-sell mode worked beautifully for a long time but one time communication became sophisticated, engineering science entered, there was a mental effigy shift. Yes Coopers Lybrand should have confirmed the receivable from West Coast Liquidators at the end of fiscal 1995 because it represented 13%, a clearly material amount, of the total accounts receivable. They also should have included one or more of the sales to West Coast Liquidators in their year-end sales cutoff tests for 1995 as many of these transactions were booked in the final month of the fiscal year.Sales transactions occurring close to the en d of the fiscal year are much more likely to be suspicious in nature or fraudulent than transactions occurring earlier in the year. 4. Typically, in a company with proper internal controls and documentation, alternative procedures should be able to effectively address the same assertions that the confirmation of a receivable address. Bodies, Sexualities, Identities - Essay ExampleIn line with this, it is assumed that a childs reception to what is pleasing is actu entirelyy dependent on experience. As the child experienced being fondled in genitals or sexually stimulated with whatever it is that whitethorn cause sexual arousal, the sensation that may result to this could be a potential ground from time to time for the enhancement of any wonderful tactile property associated with this activity. Thus, this further explains the fact why there are children who actually are involved in masturbation even then in the 18th light speed and substantially addicted to it (Egan and Hawkes, 2011). Nowadays, such kind of addiction may be further enhanced due to the presence of pornographic materials and commercialization of sex which involves minors in the age of fast broadband internet connection. Even though it involves high level of complexity, the actual point of this essay is to explicate how the body of a child questio ns notions of normative sexuality. Furthermore, the proponent shows how thinking about children and bodies involves the simultaneous absence and presence of sex. Childs bodys questions on the notions of sexuality The root point is to address specific answer on how the body of a child questions notions of normative sexuality. ... herefore may be only left with the idea of what makes them heart good or bad, disregarding the notion of morality in the absence of actual adult inspection. In fact, the same response is actually disaster in todays modern society. In some TV programs, parental guidance is advised as there may be sexually i llicit content or other scenes that may not be suitable for minor audiences. This specifically reflects the point that there are some veritable things that a child could not still understand the way adults do. Thus, the belief in 19th century that a child is susceptible to be influenced by the environment would make sense (Egan and Hawkes, 2011 Angelides, 2004). There was a strong point to consider that children substantially have many things to be explored, either by apoplexy or learning experience, which would be much focus on bodily rather than psychological response. Louis Kahm agreed to this by specifically pointing out that masturbation screwing be learned from example or actual experience. This can be substantially supported by the idea of Alfred Vogel which points that anything which causes erection or sexual input signal could promote masturbation. Furthermore, in the case of child sexual abuse, the abused is actually exposed to either sensation or traumatic experience. Finding that not all abused children suffered hysteria and traumatic experiences, Freud concluded that at some point an abused child would have

Balancing Stakeholders Interests In Case Of A Conflict Essay - 2

Balancing Stakeholders Interests In Case Of A Conflict - Essay ExampleThe CAW accepted a affiance freeze that would last three years approximately. Vacations would have to go for lesser time and employees would have to contribute higher towards their benefit plans. From the abstract what is clear is that the bailout necessitated that employees do most of the heavy lifting. Suffering wage cuts, taking shorter vacations while the owners who happen to also be external stakeholders do not seem to suffer that much. How therefore can the interest of employees and shareholders be balanced in case a conflict arises? To answer this question I will use Edward Freemans stakeholders supposition to delve in depth into this issue pitting both moral responsibilities and profit maximization objectives of the business unit.Stakeholder hypothesis is a theory of executive management and trade ethics that deals with principles and values in running an organization. In the conventional view of the firm , the investor view, they are the proprietors of the company and the corporation has a haughty duty to put their needs first, to boost value for them. Stakeholder conjecture fights that there are added parties involved, including workers, clientele, providers, investors, society, legislative bodies, political lobby groups, trade links, and unions. Even rivals are sometimes counted as stakeholders - their position being consequent from their aptitude to affect the company and its stakeholders. The nature of what is a stakeholder is extremely contestedThe stakeholder view of policy integrates equally a resource and a market-based view and adding up a socio-political stage. This outlook of the corporation is used to describe the precise stakeholders of a firm (the normative presumption (Donaldson) of stakeholder identification) mutually examines the conditions beneath which these parties ought to be treated as stakeholders.

For Nuvo, there may be a similar process, but much more emphasis is placed on the branding and marketing aspects to suggest that it is artisinal. Even the brand-name itself suggests refinement and freshness. The word nouveauFrench for newhas been shortened and made easier to pronounce, epoch still maintaining a kind of exoticism. Explain How Far Wilfred Owen Challenges the Notion that it is Sweet Essay

Explain How Far Wilfred Owen Ch solelyenges the Notion that it is Sweet and Noble to Die For Your Country Using The Poems Dulce et - Essay Example tied(p) after a war ends the violent and troubling memories keep haunting a soldiers mind. Some time when the soldier becomes physically disabled he is unable to carry out the normal activities of life and to such a man what remains are only the memories with which he has to live throughout. When the young children in their schools are told how noble it is to fight for ones land and people, it might sound really righteous but the truths which unfold as one takes a closer look at the consequences of war especially on the lives of those noble doers, one is bound to be discouraged and all motivations in favor of warfare seem meaningless in front of sheer humanity. He draws out visual images in some of his poems, where the physical, and mental suffering of the troops are vividly described. In the war poems, Dulce et Decorum Est and Disabled he challenges the nonion that dying for ones country is sweet and noble. The poem Dulce et Decorum Est describes just other day in the World War I when the soldiers are marching towards their place of rest but at that very moment gas bombs depart to drop around them. They hurry for their masks and weapons but some of the ravaged bodies fail to save themselves from the attack. The author writes in a personal tone and tells the readers what he witnesses as vividly as possible with frequent use of similes But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,/ And floundring like a man in ack-ack or lime (Owen, line9). He focuses the description now on a single person who dies in the attack and this vision continuously haunts him in his dreams after on. He gradually shifts from first person to third person and then to second person in his address. Towards the end the poet conveys to the people at home their reckon of violence and distress and wishes that they could witness the same. At th e very beginning he stressed upon the very appearance of the people marching towards their place of rest. He does not address the men as soldiers or warriors rather he compares them to old beggars and hags. He even uses the metaphoric comparison between their walk and the term curst which he uses to describe the miserable conditions as they march through the muddle trenches. The experience seemed to have them under some kind of a curse. The poet at times uses the technique of creating a caesura or a pause in a line of the poem in order to signify the realism precisely. The language is legal brief and curt as he mentions Men marched asleep (Owen,line4). This sentence makes the men look like ghost figures walking in the dark. They are so wear down that they almost are falling asleep. The poet uses alliterations I the form of repeated words beginning with l Many had lost their boots/But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame all blind (Owen, line4). The words indicate they were covere d in blood and therefore the war has enveloped their physical and mental forms. The idea here is to put forth the pull stamp on the readers just as the fatigued soldiers dragged themselves towards the tent. He changes drastically the motion by using brief lines Five-nines/that dropped behind. Gas/Gas Quick boys(Owen, line7), which generates the effect of fast action amidst the slow movements. Suddenly there seems to be a rush for safety. The fear struck cries and bombs falling all around leads to the environment, which brings on barbaric deaths that render a stomach

Microeconomics Term Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

Microeconomics - Term Paper ExampleTheir intent was to establish a national minimal standard of living and stabilize the economy by regulating pay of the poorest social class. The outcomes from this grand experiment are varied. Social activists maintain that it prevents greedy businesses and heartless corporations from exploiting the lowest wage earners. Economists ruminate that it may actually reduce employment and deepen the wounds of poverty. Politicians seek to justify the law to constituent consumers and small business owners (many of whom pay must pay irregular workers above their market place value). This paper will examine issues surrounding the Minimum Wage Law.Minimum wages ability to strengthen the economy mud subject to intense analysis and research. Legislators intend the law to provide workers and their families with a livable wage, yet many question whether it achieves that or whether it fits into our free market society. The brisk Deal and its associated recove ry programs were viewed by some as a drastic control of capitalist exploitation, involving a socially planned economy in which the depersonalized inquisition of private profit is subject to check at a thousand strategic points (MacIver 836). In spite of these goals, traditional capitalists contend that the law contributes to inflation, creates unemployment, and harms small businesses. close to go so far as to call it unconstitutional and counter to the spirit of free market economics.Regardless of whether minimum wage fits into our free market ideology, leaders have an obligation to implement policies that offer significant overall benefits to the good of its citizens, especially those in the most need. This leads to three questions about regulating stand pay First, is it necessary to alleviate suffering, hunger, or inhumane hardship? Second, is there a significant economic reward gained by the employing individuals at a minimum cost?

Ecological Evaluation of Environmental Problems Essay Example for Free

Ecological Evaluation of Environmental Problems EssayBio motley refers to the abundance of life forms (bio means life, diversity means variety or assortment). This includes different animals, plants and micro-organisms. The ecosystem where these living organisms belong, as well as their genetic make-up, is a desire part of biodiversity. Wide biodiversity is advantageous to species development as there will be various interactions going on among the different species. Among the most bio-diverse ecosystems are rainforests and aquatic ecosystems. Both land and urine species seat be found in these habitats. The existence, however, of these ecosystems are becoming endangered as a lot of human activities negatively impact these ecosystems. Forest destruction has been an existing bare for the longest time. Pollution communicate and water is also one of the most common problems different ecosystems and the environment itself are facing. Human activities also cause orbiculate war ming which is non salutary for all living creatures. These things that people do to our environment can in spades be prevented and avoided. We can start by tenia the use of substances with chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) which were identified as harmful to the ozone layer. This simple deed can help decrease the performances of globose warming to the environment. topical anesthetic anaesthetic g overnments should also enforce strict laws against forest destruction. Environmentalists can also start a campaign on reforestation to help rebuild destroyed forests and essential habitats.Maintaining biodiversity is important in human sustainability. Each life form is beneficial to one another. Plants are the producers in the food chain. Some primary and secondary consumers are also taken by humans as food, which is our main source of animation. Continuous destruction of the ecosystems leads to the decrease in these food sources. Thus, preserving the ecosystems and maint aining biodiversity should be seriously considered by everyone.Acid deposition starts with the combustion of fossil enkindles such as coal and oil. Burning of these fuels produces nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide which are considered air pollutants. Volcanic eruptions can also emit these pollutants. When the nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxides get released to the atmosphere, chemical transformation happens and sulfuric and nitric loony toonsulent compounds are produced. These compounds make the air acidic. Eventually, these acidic compounds fall to the out-of-doors of the estate the process called acid deposition. Deposition can happen in wet or dry form. Wet deposition occurs when the nitric acid and sulfuric acid compounds are transported with rain, fog, or snow. When these compounds are carried as fine particles by the wind, it is called dry deposition.Acid deposition cause severe damages to the ecosystem. slant species found in lakes affected by acid deposition tend to d isappear. Other aquatic resources in lakes and rivers tend to either disappear or survive which creates an imbalance to aquatic ecosystems. Acidification also changes phytoplankton composition. Likewise, acid deposition also affects forests by killing a lot of trees due to the acidic compounds settling onto these life forms. This is explicit in most forests where there are copper and nickel refineries nearby. This environmental problem can also trigger asthma and some bronchial infections to humans. The effect may not be seen immediately and may take years before it can be realized. In order for us to minimize the cases of acid deposition is to have a global initiative of reducing emission of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides which cause air pollution. Educating the entire world population of this phenomenon can be a good start. Factories and industrial plants burning fossil fuels should try to research and find other earth-friendly alternatives to those harmful chemicals.Cultural eutrophication is the accelerated aging of aquatic ecosystems, especially lakes, through man-made activities. Eutrophication is the natural process of aging of lakes which is characterized by an enlarge in the growth of algae and aquatic weeds. Eutrophication rate is de shapeined by how fast the lake gets sediments and nutrients from the watershed, and this naturally occurs over a long period of time. However, if the lake is located in an urbanized area or developed region, eutrophication speeds as there is definitely higher number of sediments and nutrients getting into the lake. This is when natural eutrophication becomes cultural eutrophication. The increased sediments and nutrients, which are mainly phosphorous, usually come from road sand, oil, lawn fertilizers, gas, salt and organic matter organism transported to the lake through stormwater or groundwater. Inefficient septic systems can also cause cultural eutrophication. This environmental phenomenon can be prevented through continuous monitoring of the local government. Environmental officials should identify the cause of the cultural eutrophication and determine where the increased sediments are coming from. Once this is identified, measures to prevent these nutrients and sediments from getting into the lake could be placed and enforced.Global warming, from the term itself, is the continuous increase in the temperature of our planet. Global warming is mainly caused by increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, ozone and methane forms a gaseous blanket around the Earth. This blanket traps the heat which is responsible for making the Earth warm else our planets temperature would be well over 60 degrees colder. Global warming becomes an environmental issue because the gaseous blanket is getting thicker and thicker over the years which make the Earths temperature extra hot. The increase in greenhouse gases which causes global warming is due to burn ing of fossil fuels, agricultural byproducts, industrial processes, waste disposal and treatment among others.By the year 2100, Earths temperature will rise by 3C to 5C and sea levels will rise by 25 meters, at least, because of global warming. This would mean an increase in the occurrence of heat waves, floods, tornadoes and drought. Agricultural yields will be low due to these extreme weather conditions. Diseases will also extend easily.Global warming is already a known issue. The only thing that we have to do is to make significant changes in the way we do things like the use of fuels contributing to the increase of greenhouse gases. Little things can help curtail the effects of global warming such as changing strand light bulbs to fluorescent bulbs, making sure the refrigerator and freezer doors are always shut properly, and other measures of conserving electricity. This will not only help ransom the Earth from global warming, it will also help you save money due to less elec tricity consumption.Electricity is the most common form of energy people use daily. Currently, electricity is being generated mainly by burning fossil fuels. We all know from the above discussions that fossil fuel combustion creates air pollutants that contribute to acid deposition and global warming in short, environmental destruction. If this way of using energy continuous, we would be in danger of losing a healthy planet to live in a hundred years. Another danger of this is not having enough fossil fuels to use in the future as this is not a renewable source of energy. Fossil fuels such as coal and oil can be depleted because there can only be as much of them in our planet. In order for us to prevent global environmental destruction, we should all try to use sustainable energy in order for us to have reserves in the future. Examples of sustainable energy are renewable sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, tidal and wave power among others. strength plants and electric companie s should slowly convert their electricity generating processes to one of these in order to lessen the waste pollutants of fuel combustion. Big companies may also want to instill a study if its facilities and offices would run on self-built solar power. Other than the big savings, it will definitely help in reducing the number of fossil fuel electricity consumers.
